Stockman Cooperative, a startup investment cooperative society has just received its official certificate from the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce, Industry & Cooperatives.

The issuance of the certificate signals a formal and final approval legally recognizing Stockman Cooperative as a legally recognized and registered to operate as a cooperative in Lagos state.

Stockman Cooperative was officially inaugurated on the 20th of April, 2019 by the Lagos State Ministry of Commerce. The cooperative has since started preparing to start taking in members and running full-fledged operations in very soon.

“It is very relieving to receive our official certificate of registration going by the rigorous filing process we followed through,” said Mr. Samuel Odusami, Secretary, Stockman Cooperative. “We look forward to an eventual kickstart of operations in the next few days,” he said.

“It was an inspiring experience as Lagos State Government finally gave us the official node to rollout our offerings and operations in the state, having verified and certified our proceedings, which reflects the professionalism in us and our strong commitment towards best practices,” said Mr. Taiwo Ologbon-Ori, President, Stockman Cooperative. “While we are optimistic to surpass our set targets, we remain extremely grateful,” he said.

“Now that we have gotten our license and cooperative registration sorted, we can now focus more on our operations. We are working with our partners to have a very smooth take off and we would be leveraging technology a great deal,” said Mr. Stephen Fidelis, Treasurer, Stockman Cooperative. “It is our belief that our members would see great value for themselves in StockmanCooperative. Preliminary feedbacks received including those of our regulators are already pointing to this fact. We are very optimistic about the future of this cooperative,” he said.
